Combat and training

A fight in NORDKRIM is decided by the attributes you have trained, your weapon and protection, and the bullets you bring. Here is how a fight is decided, how you get stronger and where you can fight.

How a fight is decided

A fight goes over several rounds — usually seven or eight — in which you take turns shooting until one of you is down. Four things decide it. REFLEX is whether you hit, measured against the opponent’s PRECISION: precision is evasion, not accuracy, so the higher yours is, the more often they miss you. STRENGTH is how hard the blow bites, and your weapon is added on top. DEFENSE is subtracted from every hit you take. PROTECTION also dampens a fixed share of everything that comes in — from a few percent with a leather jacket to 40 percent with the heaviest protection. Finally ALL your training counts together: the more you have trained in total, the more punishment your body can take before it gives in. That means every single point you train does something, whichever attribute it sits in. REMEMBER BULLETS: a seven-round fight uses 70 to 90 bullets with a heavy weapon, and if you run out in the middle, your blows drop to almost nothing. If the fight drags on for twenty rounds without anyone going down, both withdraw and nothing is decided.

Attacks

Yes. On a player’s profile you can press Attack to fight them. The fight runs over several rounds and is decided by your combat stats (strength, defense, reflex and precision), your protection and your weapon, and it uses bullets. If you win, you rob a small part of the cash they carry (up to a cap) and gain respect, and the loser ends up in the hospital. New players are protected, and players hiding in their bunker cannot be attacked.

Training at the gym

Each combat attribute (strength, defense and reflex) shows TWO numbers, and they mean different things. The big number is your permanent combat strength — the one that applies in ordinary attacks, Hitlist, Kill, gang war and Street racing. The blue number beside it is your arena form: the same attribute, but this week’s version, and it is THAT which decides a Streetfight. You only train in one place: every session at the Gym builds both at once. The card also shows a level that rises steadily with how many raw points you have built up. Precision is no longer trained here — it moved to the Shooting range in Weapon shop, where it costs bullets instead of energy. The raw number below is still what actually counts in a fight — the level is just a visible milestone on the way, and the top level is meant to take a long time to reach. Besides the ordinary sessions there is also a “heavy” variant of each — more gain per session, but it needs more energy. ALL sessions have a rest between each time, each session type separately: the light ones rest for a shorter time than the heavy ones, in step with the gain. So you can do one of each straight after each other, but not run the same one over and over. Energy is still what controls how much you get through in ordinary play.

The shooting range

The Shooting range is in Weapon shop and is where you train Precision. It costs bullets, not energy, and each session gets more expensive the better you get — from around 30 bullets at the start to 400 at most. You can run 20 sessions in one series and two series per day. If you have trained for a long time, it is the bullet cap, not the session limit, that stops you, and then you have to choose between training and having ammunition left. Precision is your evasion: when someone attacks you, the hit is rolled as their Reflex against your Precision, so the higher yours is, the more often they miss. Each point also gives half a damage point when you strike yourself. Your own chance to hit is governed by Reflex. In an ordinary attack both count in full. In a hit, the settlement itself is decided by bullets, rank and weapon — there your precision is only what keeps you on your feet along the way. In a kill you must first win an ordinary fight, and there precision counts as usual; the final roll itself it does not touch. It does not count in Streetfight, and it is not reset every Monday.

Your weapons

Yes. When you buy a weapon or protection it is yours for good. Switching back to something you already own costs only a small swap fee — not the full price again. The free default choices (fists / no protection) you can always put on at no cost. So you can safely swap equipment back and forth without losing anything.

The weaponsmith

In Weapon shop you can upgrade the weapon you have equipped at the Weaponsmith — for kroner, in several levels. Each upgrade increases the damage the weapon does, up to +30% at the top level. It counts in attacks and kill attempts (where weapons are actually used), but not in Streetfight, which is decided by pure combat attributes without weapons. The upgrade is tied to the specific weapon, so if you switch to another, you upgrade that one separately.

Hurt, but not in the hospital

A fight can pull your life down without you ending up in the hospital — that only happens if your life reaches zero. If you are hurt but still on your feet, your life slowly recovers by itself over time. If you are short of time, you can visit the Hospital and buy medical help directly for kroner — an expensive, instant full recovery, with the price depending on how much life you are missing. If you are actually admitted, use hospital discharge in the Gold shop instead.

Streetfight

Streetfight is a pure street meeting — completely without luck. The outcome is decided by strength, defense and reflex added together alone: no dice, no weapons, no bullets. But the arena has ITS OWN versions of the three attributes, and they start over for everyone every Monday at 00:00 (Norwegian time): someone who has trained for four months no longer turns up with a four-month head start, and a new player can keep up from day one. Your permanent combat attributes are not touched by this — they apply as before in ordinary attacks, Hitlist, Kill, gang war and Street racing. Every training session at the Gym builds both at the same time, so you never train twice. Precision is not part of Streetfight at all; it is trained at the Shooting range in Weapon shop and is never reset. You post a challenge with a stake of your own choosing in kroner; another player matches the stake to accept, and the winner takes the whole pot — the loser is left with nothing. A win also gives RESPECT, so the arena counts for your rank ladder and not just for your wallet. How much depends on who you beat: beating someone above you in rank gives the most, beating someone far below you gives the least. You only get respect ONCE per opponent per day — beat the same person again the same day and you still get the money, but no respect. That rule exists so that two players cannot agree to trade wins back and forth and climb for free, and it is shared with Street racing, so you cannot switch between the two arenas to get around it. Exact numbers are hidden from others, just as elsewhere in the game, so you have to judge a challenge from rank and record, not a raw number. The page shows your record (won/lost) and your lifetime record — both stand when the week is over. Only the ATTRIBUTES start over every week; the fights you have won keep counting. Every week has a ladder: 3, 10 and 20 counting fights give 40,000, 80,000 and 150,000 kr and 20, 30 and 60 respect, paid into the bank. Up to three fights per opponent per day count toward the ladder, when the stake is at least the minimum stake — won and lost alike — and not against an account on the same network. Whoever has the most wins against at least three different opponents becomes Arena champion of the week: 800,000 kr in the bank, 25 Gold, 250 respect and a badge, and is shown on the Home page for the whole of next week. There one win per opponent per day counts. The ladder and the board for the week are at the top of the page, and the page counts down to Monday, when the week starts over. All street meetings end up in a public log. You can set a fighter name of your own that is shown next to your nickname there. Challenges from players who cannot show up right now (in prison, in the hospital or taken out) are hidden from the list and reappear when they are out — so what you can accept is almost always a real fight. If a challenge nevertheless drops out as you accept it, you are told the concrete reason, and the stake always goes back to whoever posted it.

Battle Royale

A tournament that runs on the CLOCK. Since August 24, 2026 a new round starts every 30 minutes, and it runs no matter how many have signed up — you never wait for a lobby to fill. The page shows the countdown to the next round and who has signed up. If there are fewer than eight of you, the house fills up with NPCs to eight (from October 23, 2026), so the round runs even if you are alone. The NPCs are built after the player in the middle of the list of those who can take part, and the house puts 25% of the entry fee into the pot for each NPC place. If an NPC wins, or an NPC loses the final, that share is paid out to nobody. If nobody signs up, the round waits until next time. If there are more than eight of you, whoever is left over in a round goes through without a fight (a bye). The ENTRY FEE is taken from the cash you have on hand, and covered from the bank if that is not enough — the same rule as in the rest of the game. BULLETS: you can commit bullets when you sign up, and they count in your fights just as in an ordinary attack. It is voluntary — without bullets you go in with your fists. Committed bullets are used up however it goes, and there is no point in committing more than 200: no fight gets through that many. Each fight goes over two rounds: both attack once, and whoever has the most life left in total wins; if it is exactly level, a draw decides. KNOCKOUT PRIZES (from October 23, 2026): 35% of the pot is shared equally among all the knockouts — with eight participants that is seven knockouts, 5% each — and every fight you win gives you the prize for that knockout. The rest of the pot goes to the winner (85%) and the final’s loser (15%), and the winner gets respect. If an NPC wins a fight, the prize is paid out to nobody. TONIGHT’S BATTLE ROYALE: every evening at 21:00 (Norwegian time) a separate round runs with 16 participants. Sign-up opens at 18:00, if people are missing the house fills up with NPCs, and the winner gets 60 respect and the badge “Last man standing” on the profile. If nobody signs up, it is canceled. You can take part in both the ordinary round and Tonight’s. The first time you see a result, the bracket is played out round by round, with one line on how each fight went. TACTICS (from October 23, 2026): when you sign up you choose Balanced, Aggressive (you deal and take 35% more damage), Careful (you deal and take 30% less) or Shooter (twice as many bullets per round for 50% more weapon damage, and 5% more damage taken — requires a firearm and committed bullets). No tactic is best on its own: Careful helps whoever is stronger than the field, Aggressive whoever is weaker. You only see the others’ tactics in the bracket. BETTING: if you are not in a round, you can bet 10,000–1,000,000 kr on one signed-up player. Those who bet on the winner share the whole betting pot in proportion to their stake — the house takes nothing. If an NPC wins, or nobody bet on the winner, everyone gets their stake back, and if you bet on someone who did not turn up, you get it back. You can bet once per round, not on someone you share a network with, and if you have bet in a round you cannot sign up for it. No lasting damage — this is a separate settlement, not a proper fight, so your life takes no damage from it.

An unsettled score

If another player hits you — extortion, an attack, a plantation raid, reconnaissance, or them breaking someone out and taking your bounty — you get an unsettled score against them that stands for one day. It is shown on their profile, under “Events against you” on your own profile and in the “Extortions against you” list on Extortion, and there you can press them back directly, with better odds than usual, or put out a contract on them in Hitlist. You can settle ONCE per person per day, and the score is used up by the action whether you win or lose. Attacks still require that you are in the same city; extortion does not, and is therefore the answer that is almost always available. The menu itself says why an option is closed, if it is.

Snitching

If a player has an unsettled score against you, you can report them to the police instead of fighting. It costs a share of the money you have on hand, and makes them HOT for three hours: if they are caught for a crime while it lasts, they serve 50 percent longer than usual. They are told that someone has snitched, and what they are reported for — but not who called. If they want to know, they must buy a reconnaissance report like any other. Snitching requires neither rank, bullets nor being in the same city, so it is the answer when you cannot win a fight. Three things soften it: political contacts make all sentences milder, you can refrain from committing crimes until it runs out, and in the bunker the time burns off while you sit there. Snitching is itself an action against a player, so they get an unsettled score against you afterwards.

Espionage

On another player’s profile you can buy a reconnaissance report: your network maps the player’s economy, fighting strength, equipment and whereabouts — but only in ROUGH estimates, never exact numbers. It costs kroner, has a cooldown, and is socially risky: the target is ALWAYS notified that someone has been snooping around, and your name may be revealed.

The law office

On the Prison page you can keep a lawyer on retainer — a fixed cost in kroner that covers a period (fourteen days at a time; if you renew before it runs out, the time stacks). With an active lawyer you can buy your way out of prison for KRONER — an alternative to Bail, which can otherwise only be paid with Gold — and you get a discount on the Gold bail itself.
