NORDKRIM is a free, text-based mafia game. You play through menus, text and chat in one shared world that keeps running around the clock, and there is nothing to download: it runs in your browser, on mobile and on PC. You start with 500,000 kr and climb 15 ranks, from civilian to Capo Don.

• Crimes and ranks. Commit crimes for kroner and respect, and climb the ranks. Every rank unlocks something new.
• Training and fights. Train strength, defense and reflex at the gym, then fight other players.
• Gangs and territory. Join or found a gang with a shared treasury, and fight for control of eight Nordic cities.
• Businesses and passive income. Buy a business, invite other players to work in it, run a plantation and restock to keep the income coming.
• The stock market. Buy, sell and short shares in fictional Nordic companies, with prices that react to news in the game.
• Cars, boats and smuggling. Steal and tune cars, race them head to head, and run goods by boat and plane between the cities.
• Heists with a crew. Plan one of nine heists with four roles to fill: driver, security, safecracker and hacker.
• Casino and lotto. Blackjack, Russian roulette, dice, poker and lotto, all played with in-game money only.

• A Nordic setting. The world is eight Nordic cities: Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Reykjavík and Ålesund. Each city has its own signature crime, and you travel between them by plane.
• Seasons. NORDKRIM is played in seasons. Season 2 began on September 18, 2026, and everyone started again with 500,000 kr.
• Free to play. Gold, the premium currency, mostly buys time, style and status, and almost all equipment is bought with kroner at any rank. NORDKRIM is an independent game with its own world, rules and economy. It belongs to the same broad genre as these games: online games about crime, ranks and gangs. NORDKRIM began as a Norwegian-language game, and the English version is new. The website, sign-up, log-in, menus and main buttons are in English, and more of the game is being translated. Some game screens and server messages are still in Norwegian for now, so expect some Norwegian in the chat and in announcements. Players share one world whatever language they use.

The minimum age is 15, and all crime in the game is make-believe. The FAQ answers 98 questions in English, from what the game costs to whether you can lose your character.
